I am Helen Savore, your host on this journey I hope we can share. If you’ve found your way here, you probably know me via a conference, or facebook, or twitter, or… well I’m not sure after that. But just in case let me tell you a bit about here and a bit about me.
I formed Oberon’s Forge Press two years ago now to publish my work – a Contemporary Continuation of King Arthur’s Court. I’ve developed a wonderful world of what-ifs, combining concepts that were just begging to be explored and I hope you eventually enjoy. I call the series Tales of the Faerie Forge, but it will be split into several arcs, exploring different heroes, times, and development in the mythic and mundane worlds.
But I’m reading a blog, not a story. Here I’m hoping to share a bit about inspirations, my voice, some of what’s on my mind in regards to writing, and talk about the release journey for this. In order to start our journey I’m going to share the destination. I got something a bit special planned. Seasons are important in the world Oberon has forged here, so I plan to string my first arc across the seasons, starting with The Phoenix Grail on March 20th 2018, one year from now. The sequel, Sword in the Throne, September 22nd, 2018, and the conclusion Accepting the Mantle June 21st, 2019. This first arc will also feature two background stories, coming out between, to share more of the world’s legends. Lady Leaves the Lake is slated for June 21st 2018, and Camelot Crumbles December 21st 2018.
So if you want to learn more about how I got here and how I’m getting there, stick around. I’ll be posting weekly. Want to hear strictly about releases, sign up for my mailing list below. Want to just keep up on fun writing anecdotes and my weird sense of humor check out my facebook and twitter.

Alexandrea Morgan may seem like the quiet bookshop keeper, but as the only one who can see the Fae, she alone can work with Merlin’s forgotten apprentice to stop the Fae from leeching human lives. But when a childhood friend returns her quiet, false life is blown apart. Everything she had been told as a child was a lie, and now they are racing the Fae for the Grail.
This modern retelling of Arthurian stories will bring into question the truths about Camelot, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table.
The Lady of the Lake may have given Arthur his sword, Excalibur, but where did it come from? How was it made? Vivane’s story started long before she put her hopes in the young king and gifted her greatest weapon.
When her rash actions destroy her family Viviane joins the Llefhin Smiths to learn and heal. But as she continues to flaunt her Smith art can she survive Oberon who will stop any who tries to change his world?
Jamie, a med school drop out, discovers his hallucinations are Fae spirits stealing life. His childhood friend has spent her life in a quest to summon the Phoenix in order to banish the fae. He joins her, but along the way accidentally unlocks a traitor’s healing ability, who in turn uses it as a sign to prove they are King Arthur returned.
Amid navigating an unfamiliar world of new creatures and capabilities Jamie must learn to craft his own healing magic into a weapon. But can they stop the impostor’s crusade when the one thing they need most to stop the fae is the most sure sign of Arthur’s return itself… to draw the Sword from the Throne.
Following the Massacre of Camlann Moralynn awakes to a court that still lives, but not as they had. Folk are now cast in unfamiliar roles, including herself, having realized she now wears Arthur’s skin.
Moralynn must discover what spell has altered the peoples of Camelot. But once she begins to unravel the thread death takes them and she returns again to this changed land as a new person. How many times can she witness Camelot crumble before madness takes her?
After surviving summoning the Phoenix, Arthur walks away from the Fae realms. He tries to live on earth, struggling to fit within mundane modern life.
But Arthur can’t ignore it when natural disasters break out across the globe. Perhaps the Phoenix, even a shadow like Moralynn, maintained more than anyone knew. The only one who might is Alexandrea whose memories were ruined at Solstice. Can Arthur and Alexandrea come together to fulfill the duties of the Phoenix before the Earth tears itself apart?
